NAMI Peer to Peer Connection Support Groups:
NAMI Peer to Peer Connection Support Groups are a free recovery support group for adults living with a mental illness. These groups provide a place that offers respect, understanding, encouragement, and hope. It offers a casual and relaxed approach to sharing the challenges and successes of coping with mental illness.
Each group meets weekly for 90 minutes, follows a flexible structure without an educational format and does not recommend or endorse any medications or other medical therapies. All groups are confidential – participants can share as much or as little personal information as they wish. Support groups are open to all adults with mental illness, regardless of diagnosis. Participants should feel welcome to drop by and share feelings, difficulties, or successes.
Family to Family Support Group:
NAMI Family/Friends Support Group is designed to assist individuals who are struggling with the challenges and issues of caring for a mentally ill family member or friend. The group offers a respectful and supportive environment for family members to share, listen and learn with others who have experienced and understand the challenges of having a loved one with mental illness. The meetings are designed to encourage, support and empower. Help is available, and this is your first step in finding some of the answers.
Family members and close friends are welcome. All meetings are free.
